The process of creating a lifescape begins with an
introductory interview. This interview will concern the
questions of who the artwork is for and what the most
important aspects of his or her life are.
Subsequently I’ll start collecting photographs to be
used in the lifescape. A recap of the interview will be
sent to the client afterwards. If approved, I start work
on the actual landscape. A first draft is created,
which again is run by the client so that adjustments
or additions may be made. Ultimately, the lifescape takes
three weeks to a month to complete.
Foundations of the lifescape are laid in acryl and aquarelle.
Then, more layers are added in the form of paint and
photographs. Finally, all the elements of the work are
combined in a single photograph printed on high quality
paper, which is then attached to an aluminium frame.
The default size is 16 by 24 inches (40 by 60 cm),
alternate sizes are of course possible.
Prices start at €950 (tax not included) at default size.
